PAN staff participated in the Parkinson’s Unity Walk on April 26. The Unity Walk is an annual event that takes place in New York City’s Central Park and raises money for Parkinson’s disease research. So far this year, attendees and other supporters of the Unity Walk have raised about $1.5 million.
At PAN’s table this year, attendees had the opportunity to use tablets to send their Members of Congress an email in real time. Hundreds of messages were sent to Congress asking for support of the Department of Defense Parkinson’s research program.
PAN would like to thank every person who made their voice heard! To learn more about taking action on this and other important Parkinson’s policy issues, visit http://www.congressweb.com/parkinsons.
